THE TEAM

KAREN LI
Producer

Karen is currently a final-year student studying Accounting and Finance at the University of Hong Kong. Being the one and only child in the family, she spends quite a portion of her time hanging out with her girlfriends. Despite having internships like all other typical A&F undergraduates, she spends her leisure time doing completely different things. Do-It-Yourself is her time-killing activity. She paints her own bags and shoes, makes her own clutch, tailors her own jewels, and even sews her own computer case. No one calls her Karen by the way, everyone calls her ‘Karenli’ as if it is a real name.

STEPHANIE TANG
Assistant Director

Stephanie grew up being the eldest grandchild among six grandsons and had the tendency to forget that she didn’t always have to wear trousers. A law student at the University of Hong Kong who is Japanese at heart, she spent a summer in Tokyo learning its language, culture and laws. She enjoys trying new recipes and has a love-hate relationship with spontaneity, chocolate and healthy sleeping patterns. A coffee addict who ended up working as a Starbucks barista for a year, she is also a fan of denim shirts and taking the Star Ferry. Her life goals include developing a better sense of humor and finding a cure for procrastination.

ESHAN CHAN
Director

Eshan is an atypical middle child who loves to laugh and has a thing for people watching. She majored in American Studies at the University of Hong Kong and had spent a semester abroad in Wellesley College. She is very keen in education and has devoted much of her summers to teach in China and is aspired to further her studies in gender and transnational issues. She is an amateur photographer (@nahseeshan) and believes any problem can be solved with a Stacey Kent song and a sip of Earl Grey. Ahi tuna, cherry blossoms in D.C. and the colour turquoise are a few of her favourite things.

AMANDA HWANG
Creative Director

Amanda is now a third year medical student studying at the University of Hong Kong after attending Diocesan Girls' School. She immensely enjoys movies and the theatre, and have been actively involved in it in high school as an actor and a director. Amanda views art as the most genuine connection to humanity and an avenue to discover more about herself, the world and her place in it. She is always eager to communicate ideas and build relationships. She is personally invested in the cause of gender equality because she has two beautiful nieces beyond perfection. Also, if she is really lucky, she may also have daughters in the future.

KYLIE WONG
Finance Controller

Kylie recently graduated from law school at the University of Hong Kong. She is not the typical bookworm who spends her entire life curled up in a library. Rather, she dedicates most of her time travelling the world, sipping coffee and listening to other people’s stories. All the world’s a stage, and Kylie believes wherever one’s talent lies, there is a place in the theatre for her to contribute towards a better performance.

NICOLE YUEN
Creative Director

Nicole is a voracious reader who aspires to master the art of witty comebacks. Outside of studying for a Law degree at the University of Hong Kong, she enjoys roaming bookstores, playing the violin, perfecting her journal entries, and daydreaming about moving to New York City. She is passionate about words, and believes in their power to touch hearts through verbalizing the female experience. Sylvia Plath is her literary icon; her collection of Plath's works and biographies is among the first things she would save in a fire. A perfect night out for her consists of good conversation, a glass (or three!) of dessert wine, and Rachmaninov's 2nd Piano Concerto.

YUKI CHAN
Chief Designer

Yuki graduated from the University of Hong Kong majoring in Comparative Literature and Sociology. She does not have any fancy background to boast about. She is a blessed girl who thinks that the world is full of evil people but has never really encountered one. Radiohead’s Fake Plastic Trees is one of her favorite songs. She likes to sew dresses at her leisure and do graphic design for money (except this time).

VICKY KUNG
Media Relations Manager

Hailing from this 24/7 lit up city called Hong Kong, Vicky is a multimedia journalist, an entrepreneur and a jazz fan. Her area of interests includes social inclusion, ethnic minority rights (or rights in general), Hong Kong-mainland tensions and public housing policies. Follow Vicky on Twitter @vickykwk for her latest train of thoughts.

MICHELLE CHAU
Marketing and Promotion Manager

Michelle, majoring in Communication Design in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, is in love with all kinds of art. She has a strong passion in design, theatre production. She regards herself a lucky person that can do the things she like as a career. As the cofounder of two companies in Hong Kong (Freeinghk & Phocus), which are well-known among teenagers, she believes that bring happiness to other people is the best thing she can do to live a happy and fulfilling life.

ACCA SUM
Make Up Designer
Social Media Coordinator

Judging from the facts, Acca may be seen as a stereotypical only-child in the family who is slightly over-protected, did ballet, went to a single-sex high school and studies a “feminine” Arts degree. Yet stereotypes only reflect part of the truth. Acca is a keen debater in college, and has represented the Chinese University of Hong Kong in several tournaments, enjoying the privilege of travelling and meeting new friends at the same time. Literature and debating has opened her to question social conventions and inequality. Acca believes Feminism Is for Everybody. She is especially concerned about women living under Sharia (Islamic Law) whose rights have been stripped of, and Comfort Women in war. Right now, thousands of girls are serving as sexual jihads for ISIS.

CHARLENE YU
Audio Visual Designer
Technical Manager

Charlene took the alternative path of studying Computer Science because she thinks codes are simpler than human beings. Other than spending (90% of) her time in the lab, she enjoys playing the piano and making desserts. She is obsessed with Harry Potter and desperately awaits her Hogwarts letter. Compassionate and devoted to her peers, she has built a wide and secure network of friends hence you will never find her alone by herself. Charlene is now a consultant in a global leading provider of financial data and analytic applications and is struggling towards her goal of passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level N1.

SELINA PANG
Funding Manager
Social Media Coordinator

Selina is an authentic Hongkie who spends 20 years of life in her hometown and half a year in Norway when has greatly changed her opinion towards life – to think outside of what she has learnt. She spent her early years learning cello and piano, and developing the commitment to serve. She is a part-time loner (when it comes to listening to music and reading) and a full-time wanderlust. Currently studying a business bachelor degree at HKU, she hopes to bring her business competence on her first try on drama.
