Vagina Jam is an artjamming session which aims to bring the word “vagina” into the spotlight and help women everywhere reclaim theirs. The idea is to create a large collage as the final art piece through thinking about and expressing what their vagina is. Participants will be provided with a small wooden board and art supplies. They will be given prompt cards asking them to represent the vagina through simple, daily objects such as a plant, a means of transportation, a piece of furniture or an outfit. We hope to inspire thought and create a visual impact through collective self-expression, as well as stimulating the participants to have an open discussion about sexual taboos and misconceptions.
